I got some really cute flip flops @ ALDO... the thing is that i didn%26#039;t notice until i got home that the leather upper part of the sole is one kind of tan on one sandal and its a little darker on the other one... i got them on sale.
should i return them.. or what?

What color shoes with black dress?
Tomorrow nite I am wearing a black v neck dress with a ribbon belt around the waist with acordion pleats to the knee. I am trying to decide what shoes to wear. Last time I wore the dress I wore gold strappy stiletto sandals. I was thinking of maybe removing the ribbon belt and replacing with either a leopard print belt or red patent leather and wearing either red or leopard peeptoes. Or should I stick with the gold?

A good pair of stylish black boots with silver fixtures could do wonders for a more casual setting or I personally would go for two toned platform heels for something more formal. My favorites with black ... metalic colors (bronze is my metal of choice), rusts (reds to oranges - think autumn), bubblegum pink (but you need to have those match a scarf or jewelery), mauve, or if you have the personality to pull it off, yellow or emerald green. What are the most comfortable shoes?
I am having real problems finding comfortable men%26#039;s shoes. Almost every kind I get make my feet badly sweat! Is there something wrong with my feet? I tried footsoles too. Ideally I would like them black or dark brown leather or even canvas. Casual, walking and / or dress. I dont want black Converse though. At work I have to wear sandals or slippers to keep my feet from sweating. Even my Solomon mesh water shoes make my feet sweat! I dont want the plastic molded shoe sole like so many use now either. I have a pair of hiking shoes with the molded foot and after a mile or so they actually make my right ankle start hurting so bad I can hardly even walk!

My flip flops reek... what can i do?
alright, so i own a pair of Reef Sultans... they are just standard leather flip flops that i paid a good 40 bucks for. The problem is that feet sweat, the sweat gets in the sandals, and they stink. How do you guys keep your feet from smelling like straight a$$ when you%26#039;re wearing flip flops?
My flip flops reek... what can i do?
Stop wearing them everyday and give them a break. Spray some odor killer or some foot powder on and wrap them in newspaper for a day. You will probably have to repeat on numerous occasions.

You can find that anywhere. This will prevent the sweat from seeping in the shoe and smelling horrible. First step would be to get rid of the smell before doing that! Also, it%26#039;s leather, so you can%26#039;t just toss em in the washing machine, I think. Get yourself a good leather cleaner and give them a thorough cleaning, then treat it with the spray.
As for the smelly, sweaty feet, I wouldn%26#039;t use powder for your feet while wearing flip flops... that will rub onto the shoes. Try a foot spray or even buy clear roll-on deoderant and put it on your foot. Arm pit deoderant isn%26#039;t bad for your feet :) Just put a little on and let it dry before putting your feet in the flip flops.
On a final note, you may want to stay away from any %26quot;cloth%26quot; or %26quot;leather%26quot; flip flops if you sweat too much... stick to a plastic or something.

my boss was at a meeting today and i was dropping some papers off at his desk. it has been fairly brisk out so i was wearing my sandals and i noticed that my toenails were a bit long and unkempt. i grabbed his letter opener, reclined in his comfortable leather chair and started sawing away my big toenail. after i got to the little piggy that went to the market on my left foot my boss walked in, and caught me with a mound of toenails on his desk. he then called security and escorted me out. i didn%26#039;t think this was that big of a deal. can i sue anyone?

Clothing advice- which shoes should i wear?
I%26#039;m goin out tonight and i have already chose my outfit- a long red top and 3/4 length white trousers, i think the outfit looks dead nice but im not sure what shoes to wear. I tried on some black, leather, knee-length boots- i tucked the white trousers in- but do u think black boots and white trousers go together? I also have some white shoes that are quite nice but are really uncomfy, or i also have a pair of black sandals, would they look ok? Which should i wear?

What do you think of wearing open toe heels with jeans?
I wear flared jeans (not skinny) with high heel sandals and I think looks good, the lenght of the pant reaches and covers 70% of the heel and when I %26#039;m standing all you can see is the toes and the thin black leather straps... I think it looks great, do you like this way?

I think my dad is dying. I need someone who can tell what's going on, I don't get how his condition works
My dad is 59 and I am very concerned with his health. He was put on oxygen for having emphysema after having a heart attack in 2002. Now, he gets very tired easily, has memory loss, repeats himself A LOT, and my biggest concern is that from the knees to his feet, his skin is a maroon color, and feels like leather. Also, he has expressed some loss of feeling in his feet. His feet are extremely dry, cracking, and his toenails are about 1/2%26quot; thick, and they often times fall off when I cut him toenails for him. Also, his legs and ankles are so swollen, that he only wears sandals and loose shoes now. What is causing this, what do I have to look forward to with his condition worsening, and how long do you think he has? I can%26#039;t get him to quit smoking, and excersising is out of the question, because he gets tired just going to the store. Please Help. God Bless.

Don%26#039;t be scared of Hospice. He can stay home and have Hospice, it is paid for by Medicare. The Hospice Social Worker can help get him signed up for Medicare if he doesn%26#039;t already have it.
He is very sick and needs care by professionals.
Reply:still smoking is killing him faster. emphysema is not curable. the damage is done. is he under docs care. my step dad died from this. smoking. first the heart attack. then the emphysema then lung cancer and he quit 15 years before the cancer. after the cancer he had the chemo and radiation which gave him another 3 years with us. he was such a great guy and I loved him dearly. only a doc can tell you what to expect for mortality but it sounds like your dad is giving up. the circulation in his legs is poor causing the dry skin and all the other leg issues. massage them is the best you could do for him. Go with him to the doctors office and ask questions. write down questions as you think of them and take that list with you to make sure you don%26#039;t forget anything. If you are a christian you know where he is going and how he will be healthy again but it is still hard to watch your loved one deteriorate. God Bless and may He be with you and give you the strength you need to help him and your family get thru these next few years. In Jesus name , amen.

There are SOME medicines which can help: he is surely already on inhaled mist meds, and many others. Doctor might have one or two ideas on meds that might make his breathing easier and save him energy.
3. Memory loss could be due to lack of oxygen, esp if he does not sleep well. Change in personality, crankiness, and not being alert/ not making sense, and repeating things can all be symptoms of low oxygen.
Emphysema is damage to the lung tissue that makes the little bubble-shaped areas stiff and scarred, which makes it harder for oxygen to get into the blood.
It%26#039;s a structural problem with the physical body - and meds can help but there is no cure.
He is not supposed to smoke with oxygen as it can cause fire or sudden burst of flame esp into his face where oxygen is. At least make sure he knows this, and if he continues to smoke, must do it outside or with oxygen off and in another part of the house, far away from oxygen equipment.
If he quits smoking, his lungs will stop being damaged, and he might be able to cough stuff out better, plus less coughing and wheezing will save his energy....but it%26#039;s hard to get them to stop!
4. Have you or your mother talked to the doctor about his legs and feet? Discoloration, hardening of skin, and loss of feeling are signs of extremely bad circulation.
Swelling of legs can be due to lung condition, heart failure, lack of protein in his bloodstream and/ or anemia, too much salt, and sitting with his legs down/ feet on floor.
Helpful measures: elevate legs when he sits (recliner chair and some pillows) = gravity is the enemy. He needs to be on No Added Salt diet. Also ask doctor about his protein levels as well as poor circulation.
5. His condition will worsen esp if he continues to smoke.
No one but God knows how long anyone has on earth (sometimes there are clues, but things don%26#039;t always go as we think they will!).
Going to the store - he does not need to do! You or another family member can do this kind of chore for him.
He does need to keep active and walk around the house, do things as he tolerates them, use legs esp to keep the muscles strong.
Sitting is very bad for him. Walking good, lying flat in bed or with 2 pillows under head %26amp; 1 pillow under legs, good.
Toenails might be deformed due to bad circulation, also may have fungual infection. If dad is on Medicare, they will pay for a podiatrist to come to house and examine feet, cut his nails.

Adriana Davis sat patiently on her Louis Vouttion luggage with a copy of Allure on her lap. Flipping through the gossiping section about Brittany Spears, she sipped her mocha latte from the Star bucks in the food court. It was almost the end of June and she and her best friends, Amber, Tina, and Cali, were headed off to beautiful Black Point, Hawaii for spring break. Adriana could just picture it now. Stepping out of midnight black limo onto a red velvet rug outside of a five star hotel. Young hotel bellhops offering her non-alcoholic beverages. As orange orchids waved in the breeze in tan stucco boxes with ivy plants cascading out them. Walking through the golden spinning door into a beautiful lobby. Lots of other -soon to be-graduates and adults would be there waiting to be check in. Admiring the beautiful stained glass windows and new age paintings on the walls. A bronze chandelier with teardrop shaped bulbs flickers over head. It was perfect.
Adriana was a beautiful girl with wavy summer brown hair with light blonde streaks and been lucky enough to have been born with pool water color eyes. Its actually looks as if you could actually dive into them. Amber is a skinny tanned girl with very dark -almost black- hair and cat shaped, bright green eyes. She loves it when people say she looks like an innocent kitten. Tina is an Asian beauty. She has light skin but glossy black hair and light almond colored eyes. Cali is the most boy crazy one of the girls. Her shoulder length blonde hair and dark brown eyes always are getting compliments.
Adriana checked her icy blue T-Mobile Sidekick for e-mails or IM’s. None. She wondered where her friends were. When she heard some girls yelling “Adriana,” she turned around to see her friends running towards her with over stuffed suitcases. Tina was in the new Emilie Coach Sandals trailing behind the other girls with a Cinnabon bag in her hand. Adriana could smell the warm, freshly baked cinnamon buns from far away. Yum. When everyone was caught up, they all gave each other a group hug.
“Our plane leaves in 10 minutes. What do you wanna do?” Tina asked. Cali bent over and struggled with the zipper on her Prada Messenger Bag and took out a misty green iPod nano and her white iHome. “We could listen to my new iPod if you want. I got two days ago.” “Cool! Lemme see!” Amber took the iPod out of Cali’s manicured hands and flicked it on. The screen went snow white and amber vigorously searched for her favorite song; Makes me Wonder by Maroon 5. Her father used to manage all kinds of unsigned artists and once, before Maroon 5 was a real famous band, she met them.
The thumping beat of the song started playing once docked in the iHome and all four girls sat down and discussed plans for while in Hawaii.
“Well, I heard from some people at school that there’s going to be an Earth Fest,” Tina said excitedly.
“A What?” the other girls asked.
“An Earth Fest. You know, like a free concert.” She explained.
Tina was overly obsessed with any type of music. Especially pop and rock. Her blinding smile was shown and her dancing almond colored eyes flickered with happiness.
“That’s cool! We should go!” Cali said in a very overjoyed voice.
“ Yeah! It would be fun,” Adriana said.
“Who’s going to be there?” Amber asked.
“+44, John Mayer, The Academy Is…, Matt Kearney, Avril Lavigne, and Daughtry.” Tina answered.
“OHMIGOD!! +44 and The Academy is..?! I LOVE them!” Adriana practically yelled.
“I like all of them! Except, I’ve never heard of Matt Kearney.” Amber said.
The next song came on. It was Golden by Fall Out Boy.
“Matt Kearney is kind’ of pop rockish and really cool. We can listen to him on the plane.”
The girls began to sing along to Golden.
And I saw god crying the reflection of my enemies
And all the lovers with no time for me
And all the mothers raise their babies

“Flight 168 to Black Point, Hawaii now boarding,” a mans voice said over the intercom. It echoed down the long spiral hall as people began to get up and throw coffee cups and magazines away to board the plane.
All the girls got up and gathered there things and Cali shut off her iPod. She popped it in her bag and trailed behind the other girls. The Dark colored woman outside of the plane held her hand out for the flight tickets and when she punched them through the silver ticket machine, the group made there way down the long hallway into the plane.

Amber, Tina and Cali sat in there tall leather seats as their waitress, Gisele, brought them there Mexican Iced Teas. Adriana, had a seat that was far away from the other girls. They have been together since the beginning of the year and now that it was May, they were officially lovebirds.

Adriana snapped her sidekick shut and stuffed it in her Burberry purse and began to dug through the disaster of a purse she had to find her cell phone. She flipped down the small, light gray table hanging off the back of the seat in front of her and place the purse there. She had just gotten it three days before and already, the $495 purse had been reduce to a teenager wasteland. She dug through her iPod, two mini crossword puzzles, 4 lip gloss tubes, two eyeliner crayons, three tubes of mascara, 3 tubes of lipstick, her sidekick, two packages of Orbit Gum (Tropical Citrus and Bubblemint), three old photos of her dog Selena, her silver Sony Cyber shot DSCW55 7.2MP Digital Camera, chewed up pencils, her Dooney and Bourke bubble wristlet credit card wallet (with 5 Platinum credit cards and $687.58 in cash) makeup remover, tissues and her car keys (which she didn’t need this week). She finally pulled out her phone from that bottomless pit of a bag and flicked it open. The bright blue light blinded her for a moment then she pressed ‘4’ (Sean was speed dial4 because of 4 letters in his name). And the phone began to ring.

“Hey. You’ve Reached Sean-o. Leave me a message. I’ll get back to you later.” It was the answering machine. So, Adriana left a message.

Man, the pillows were comfy. It wasn’t a phone call. It was a text Message. From Sean. Adriana got excited and signed on quickly. She realized he had sent it to her two minutes ago. She thought as she grabbed her Prada duffel and her Burberry purse. Wow. What a total looser. Once she had all of her things she began, slowly, to make her way out of the plane. The image of Ashley Lillian, popped into her head. The Red curly hair the powerful blue eyes, her skinny freckled legs and arms and neon pink braces gave her a frightful image. She immediately stopped thinking about it.
When she stepped into the marble floors of the Black Point Airport, she was in heaven. Even though her boyfriend had just dumped her, she had forgotten about it for a minute. She looked around.

Reply:You refer to too much name brands. It makes it harder and harder for a person to relate. Its okay to be descriptive with something. Infact thats what makes some great writing great. But the more that you include particulars about ice blue sidekicks and specific magazines, it alienates your readers. I consiter myself pretty tech savy but I dont understand all the specifics you talk about.
Be descriptive in other ways... talk about the sounds of hte airport and what not so people can imagine it and relate it to themselfs.

Second....enough with the brand names....no one cares, we want meat to the story, not technology. and the screen names are confusing, if you plan to use them a great deal, make them simpler, so we take them in, not just jump over them.
And third, screw what people think. This is your work. Every one likes different things. Keep it yours and at the end, at least you will be proud to stand back and say that it is yours.

Also, please fix your grammar/punctuation and spelling...
On the positive side, your plot (though at this point it seems nonexistant, but I%26#039;m sure that that%26#039;s because this is the very beginning of the story and the plot is just not evident yet).. anyways, your story is in the lines of what seems to be popular with teen girls today, who I%26#039;m assuming are your audience. You use alot of details (like in describing the girl at the end with the red hair), which is good.
Overall, ... okay, please don%26#039;t kill me, lol... 3/10. But this is just my opinion, and if you are writing this for yourself, don%26#039;t get discouraged by what anyone, including me, says.

Some comments: this doesn%26#039;t seem like my sort of story, but I%26#039;ll give you my thoughts anyway (you dont have to agree with them). It seems a little boring, little interesting happens. You should get to the %26#039;hook%26#039; of the story early on. Also, the text/IM convos could be reported rather than repeated verbatim, eg, %26quot;Amber sent her a text asking her if she still missed Sean%26quot;.
Still, it looks promising, and I admire anyone who actually tires to write a novel. It%26#039;s a challenge, but a worthy one, even if it never gets published. All creative work is to be treasured.

Reply:I got lost after about 3 paragraphs. Your characters are stiff and wooden and totally dull. You need to work on a really good outline and then some good character analysis. Your characters need to be fleshed out and you need to start developing some subplots or back stories. If I had to keep reading this, it would drive me insane. Character analysis doesnt mean knowing what kind of luggage she has or what kind of cellphone she has. That is juvenile %26quot;Clique%26quot; style writing.

A little mascar tear fell off her eye and right onto the keyboard of the Sidekick. She closed it and it away in her Burberry bag and more tears started to come. But, she held them down. As the plane touched the cement on the Hawaiian airport, Adriana wans’t very excited. The fact ther her boy friend had just dumped her….put out her flame for her entire trip. Ashley Lillian? She thought as she grabbed her Prada duffel and her Burberry purse. Wow. What a total looser. Once she had all of her things she began, slowly, to make her way out of the plane. The image of Ashley Lillian, popped into her head. The Red curly hair the powerful blue eyes, her skinny freckled legs and arms and neon pink braces gave her a frightful image. Reply:You refer to too much name brands. It makes it harder and harder for a person to relate. Its okay to be descriptive with something. Infact thats what makes some great writing great. But the more that you include particulars about ice blue sidekicks and specific magazines, it alienates your readers. I consiter myself pretty tech savy but I dont understand all the specifics you talk about.
Be descriptive in other ways... talk about the sounds of hte airport and what not so people can imagine it and relate it to themselfs.

You use alot of details (like in describing the girl at the end with the red hair), which is good.

Your characters need to be fleshed out and you need to start developing some subplots or back stories. If I had to keep reading this, it would drive me insane. Character analysis doesnt mean knowing what kind of luggage she has or what kind of cellphone she has. That is juvenile %26quot;Clique%26quot; style writing.

What would you do if your $60 shoes heel broke after only 2weeks and 3 days.... ?
I bought these all leather, pumps that cost $60 for work. At the same time I bought a pair of boots, and sandals as well. I was reffered to this girl (mid 20%26#039;s) that sells shoes through a catalouge by a co-worker. She%26#039;s had the boots shes bought for 1 year, and loves them. So I decided to splurge and bought 3 pair. The girl that sold them to me said I could pay 1/2 now, 1/2 later. My total was $218, and I paid her $114 on my paydate on the 16th of Feb. Well, last Fri while at my other job, I got up from my desk and the heel! snapped in two!! I was mortified. I%26#039;ve only wore them about 6 or 7 times. So I called her the next day, and she said she would come today to exchange them. When she arrived, she said that they are too scuffed up for me to exchange, and that i%26#039;m basically out of $60. Yes, I do admit that the bottoms are scuffed. But thats what happens when you wear heels and you walk on the side walk and payvment. I%26#039;ve had some shoes for $20 and they%26#039;ve lasted forever!

i actually had to leave the house with two differnt shoes yesterday.. and they happened to both be the left....good thing they were sandals.......why the heck does she do this?? only mine, my hubby can leave his nice leather shoes out, the kids tenny shoes. the baby%26#039;s shoes..... but she only takes mine.....

Because she loves you! She can smell your scent on your shoes, and she only needs one ... seriously, a dog%26#039;s sense of smell is soooo overwhelming, she just can%26#039;t resist.
My dog does the same thing, only with him, it%26#039;s socks, rather than shoes. We have so many pairs of mis-matched socks because he loves to steal just one sock.
Best you can do is put all the socks and shoes out of your pup%26#039;s reach for now ... but don%26#039;t be surprised if she goes for your underwear or even your bedsheets! They LOVE to surround themselves with the smell of the people they love most, so take it as a compliment.

I bought a pair of sandels in my size but one of the straps that crosses over my foot is short.?
If the shoes were leather this wouldn%26#039;t be a problem but these are 100% man made materials. I just bought the shoes yesterday for an upcoming wedding so if there is no correction for this problem I can always return them to the store since the shoes haven%26#039;t seen outside time yet. I have tried the petroleum jelly trick, checked and rechecked the size and even wore them around the house for awhile hoping to stretch them but I haven%26#039;t seen (or felt) any change in the shoe strap. Does anyone else think Mariah Carey dresses like a cheap hooker?
She was on TV last week wearing silver stiletto sandals with bells %26amp; whistles, a hot pink dress (that might have looked nice if they had it in her size!), and a leather crop jacket. Of course, she also had many, many rings on her fingers. She must have felt self-conscious, having to stand up and adjust her dress and looking at herself in the monitor. When she first made it big-time, she seemed much more wholesome and not all about material stuff. I was deeply disappointed!
After listening to the interview, I had to wonder if she had so much as a high school education, as %26#039;concept%26#039; was the most profound word I heard coming from her mouth. She writes much of her own music, so she must have a better command of the English language. But guess what? If you don%26#039;t use it, you%26#039;ll lose it!

I%26#039;ve had my sandals for about 3 yrs and haven%26#039;t worn them much due to the fact that they rub my toes. They are leather and they still. Infact, I put them on today and I%26#039;ve got blisters =( And I have to walk home. I just don%26#039;t know if they%26#039;re going to give now. Any ideas before I chuck them out? before you chuck them out, lets establish the quality of leather. I would like to know how much they cost and are they your size or did you get them when they already did not fit properly?
If you buy leather shoes from the likes of New Look, they will rub forever. No amount of leather stretching products (easy to buy around £4 from shoe stores - and it works) is going to help %26#039;hard%26#039; leather on cheaper shoes. If you buy leather shoes from Faith or Kurt Geiger, give them a week, sometimes they give in as much as half a size. Spray with leather stretcher, wear for hour or so home for a week and you are good to go. If you already bought them too small or very cheap, I would say chuck them. Also, with straps, sometimes it is just bad positioning of the strap and can not be mended, that is individual problem.
Another tip I tried is to stretch leather shoes by wearing them at home again, this time with wet socks on. It does not sound appealing, but it does work, the moisture does stretch leather.
Good luck with your sandals. And, always carry few plasters in your purse, they come in handy.
Reply:Being leather you can oil them really good to soften the leather and make it stretch. Get them warm so the oil sinks in deep. Apply liberally. You can use olive oil or buy special shoe oils, I prefer Obenauf brand but it is hard to find. If its not worth the time chuck them and get a new pair...maybe eBay at least you might get something out of them :-)

Need to "tan" my white heels?
My BF gave me these beautiful white sandals, but when I wear them they look way to %26quot;bright white%26quot;... a thing I dont like. They are matte PU (synthetic, not leather) so I was thinking to put them to receive some direct sunlight to cause the white to turn some how to the yellow side color.. Will these work? How much time would be necessary of sun tanning needed?

There is nothing really good from Hollister. If you don%26#039;t like the ones i chose, choose darker colors instead of lighter colors because it will get dirty and it won%26#039;t look good.

So i%26#039;ve been looking at this photo for weeks on Marie Claire%26#039;s March issue magazine there%26#039;s a beautiful woman in this light- airy long buttoned all the way down (about mid-calf or so) and long flowy sleeves it was was a kinda orange and peach color great for spring. It was a Salvatore Ferragamo dress over $1 thousand beautiful dress i want something like this. The article was called California Dreamin its similar to my personal style free colorful bohemian. It%26#039;s so wierd. I can smell his feet when I%26#039;m sitting on the sofa and he%26#039;s playing on the floor. He has a bath just about every night and I put clean socks on him every morning. He even wears little canvas sneakers instead of leather shoes.
Logic would dictate that his feet need to breathe so they don%26#039;t get so sweaty. But they smell WORSE when he%26#039;s been wearing his sandals than when he wears his sneakers.
His sweat isn%26#039;t smelly. I%26#039;ve sniffed him after he%26#039;s been playing outside and getting sweaty. It%26#039;s just his feet. What the heck is going on?

Over a year ago i bought a pair of shoes from payless that i haven%26#039;t stopped wearing since and of course they are practically sheets of paper at this point. The brand is Montego Bay Club and they are black flip flops with a brown base (what your foot stands on...?) the actual strap is semi-wide black leather and it ties in a knot where your toes sepatate. I%26#039;m absoutely in love with these sandals and i would LOVE another pair! thank you with any suggestions that you think could help!

My feet cut and bleed from almost all shoes. What to do?
Ok I love to wear shoes especailly high heels, boots and sandals. I have very nice feet too but currently they are all blistered and cut and pink and there are wounds which bleed all because I walked 2 minutes. It doesnt seem to matter if they are cheap shoes or more expensive, leather or not, it all ends up the same way. Even runners tend to make my toes crunch up and that ends up blistering my toes.
Are there any products and methods to make my feet less sensitive? I really want to be able to walk 2 minutes to the subway without beginning to hobble in my pretty sandals.
