Why does my 2 year old have really stinky feet?

It%26#039;s so wierd. I can smell his feet when I%26#039;m sitting on the sofa and he%26#039;s playing on the floor. He has a bath just about every night and I put clean socks on him every morning. He even wears little canvas sneakers instead of leather shoes.

Logic would dictate that his feet need to breathe so they don%26#039;t get so sweaty. But they smell WORSE when he%26#039;s been wearing his sandals than when he wears his sneakers.

His sweat isn%26#039;t smelly. I%26#039;ve sniffed him after he%26#039;s been playing outside and getting sweaty. It%26#039;s just his feet. What the heck is going on?

Try letting him run around barefoot around the house more. Put lotion or baby powder on his feet. Have him soak his feet in the sink every time they start to smell. If this doesn%26#039;t help talk to your doctor.
Reply:With all the creases and crevices it%26#039;s hard to get little feet clean. Make sure you lather %26#039;em up good!! :)
Reply:it%26#039;s possible that he may have athlete%26#039;s foot. ask his pediatrician. baby%26#039;s can get that, too.
Reply:It could be over active sweat glands that make his feet smell. I would ask the doctor next time you see him. There may be something you can do for him.
Reply:call the doc.
